Anyone Know Where to Find Weight Charts for Golden Retrievers?
I have an 8 month old male golden retriever that weighs 70lbs and a female golden retriever that is 16 weeks at 30lbs. Is there any way to predict their adult weight is they continue to grow at this rate? They do not seem to fit into any growth chart that I have seen. They are both very healthy and not overweight. When I took my boy to the vet when he was a puppy, he said that his adult weight would be between 60 -70lbs. He is not done growing and has already hit the vet's top weight for his predicted adult size . Any resources that I can find to help me out? Thank you in advance!
You take the dogs weight at 4 months - multiply it by 2 and then add 20% - this give a great estimate on what any dog should weigh when it reached adulthood.
16 weeks at 30 lbs
30 x 2 = 60 + 20% = 72 pounds
