Golden Retriever pups 6-9 days old

my golden retriever pups…?
my golden retrievr pups are like like 12 days old and they havnt opened their eyes yet. Is anything wrong with them?
well for the smart ellics out there, i live in virginia, and our family went into west virginia because someone broke into my great aunts home, and when we got up there, there was an abandand golden retriever, and she was allready pregnate, and we didnt want to leave it there, knowng that the pups were due, so we took it home, and she had her pups. If it was up to me, she wouldnt have ever been bred.

No, eyes usually open between 10 - 14 days - only tiny slits at first. Don't worry for several more days, then if they're not open, give your vet a call and ask his opinion.

Sometime puppies take longer to open their eyes. But after 3 weeks if they havent opened their eyes you should take them to the vet just to make sure everything is ok. When my Golden Retriever had puppies not all the puppies had opened their eyes after 2 weeks. All dogs and puppies are different just be a little more patient and see what happens after 3 weeks.

This should happen any day now. Pups eyes and ears open around day 10-14.

ulcrm if you read the details you would have read that she didn't breed them…anywho don't worry about it for another week. If you are loosing sleep over it call the vet otherwise hang tight. It is good of you to take care of the mom and pups!

Thanks for rescuing this dog. Pups usually open their eyes are 10-14 days, sometimes a day or 2 later. I am sure the pups are fine.

Don't worry, they will open in their own time. It can take up to 14 days before they are open. One eye may be totally open and the other may just be starting to open. It is ok, just leave the eyes alone. What ever your do, DO NOT try to pry the eye open.

Nothing is wrong with them. They will eventually open them. It just takes time. Are they a light red gold color or the darker more copper color? I love the copper color.
