What are some good names for a Golden Retriever (male) ?
we are going to get a puppy soon and we can't seem to come to an agreement of a name.
So far I like Payton or Riley
He doesn't what do you think?
Any suggests for names? Thanks
Our other golden is Max, he is as sweet as can be and we think he deserves a friend to play with while we are out of the house.

You could also call him Max or Scooter.

Just be sure that when you buy the puppy, the parents of the dogs have clearances. Goldens are prone to hip dysplasia, and if not properly bred, they can get serious health problems in the future. You should also expect topay at least 800 dollars and up from a good and respectable breeder.Good Luck!

I like Riley. My Golden pup is called Jamie. I'm getting another next year but we cant agree on names for that one either-even though he isnt even born yet!lol I like Noah, Alfie&Archie, my son likes Max, Toby &Bobby. If I had my way I'd have Petal,Blossom, Lyla or peachy……but its gonna be a boy dog hehehe.

well, i like to name my dogs after i have gotten to know their personality. I have Lex Luther a black Lab, Lana a yellow lab, Myles a chihuahua and chilly willy a chihuahua

whoever says buddy, is an idiot. those names are so outplayed its not even funny. why dont you get the pup first, moniter his behavior and THEN name him? thats always worked for me. you need a name that fits his personality. my dog is named rascal because hes always getting into mischief. good luck.

I met a big yellow lab last week named Jake…it seems to be a friendly name for a big dog…it's the name of the yellow dog on the Life is Good label. I have a golden puppy named Miles. I had considered Clancy. My last Golden's name was Jackson..we all called him Jack and it fit well.
Have a blast with the puppy…they grow out of that cute fluffy stage so fast!
